Hello Everybody, I'm Herb Trebranch A listener asked, " do we really have Freedom of The Press in America today?" Well, of course we do. They are free to publish or broadcast what they choose. The question is do we receive equal free coverage of news and events. Tax Day Protestors believed they would get equal coverage from all the media. Did that happen? What do you think? Some Cable networks proved again it is useful to the economic elite to own most of the main stream media. With great piety they say, "Of course our owning the media does not mean we use it to further our multi billionaire owners interests." When Tax Day Protestors spoke out in city after city, what could the Liberal press do? They heard the voices of the people and the liberal elitists had no way of stopping it. The only thing they could do was speak out against it and ridicule it in the nations bought and paid for liberal press. The American news media, from its earliest days, had been the greatest force for freedom the world had ever known. Now it is owned and paid for by the economic elite, the global money masters. its once thundering voice for freedom has been reduced to a whimpering echo useful for the propaganda of and for the economic elite. There are those in Congress today who would champion freedom of the press, by shutting down dissenting opinions as expressed on AM Talk Radio and by controlling Citizen Journalism on the internet. What a change from when John F. Kennedy said: "We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its own people." The super liberal Kennedy had that one right. What a turn around for todays liberal members of congress. Would that the PAC money collecting
members of Congress would actually believe as Kennedy did. But today,
they are afraid of free Americans speaking out. The Hush Rush bills
introduced in Congress by those who fear they will lose the never ending
stream of PAC money, want truth telling AM Talk radio and Internet
Citizen Journalism shut down. They want to muffle it with laws that will
benefit only the Liberal Press. The Tax Date protests were classic examples. Read the book Pennyman,
Economic Terrorist to learn more, ask for it at your library. I'm Herb Trebranch, Be Fantastic America, Be Fantastic
