The answer is yes we do, at the moment. The real question is, will it last.

A few years ago a speaker who wrote a book about Christians and education came to our town. 
All teachers were given tickets to the event. Some Christian teachers refused to attend. 
A Mother of two middle school students took them to hear the presentation.

At one point the speaker said, "Children should be taken away from narrow minded Christians parents."
The pronouncement was greeted with loud applause.
At that point the seventh grader leaned over to his Mother and said, "I get it Mom, now I understand."
"What is it you understand?" she asked.
He said, "I've been studying World War Two and I couldn't understand how good Germans did nothing when Hitler said the Jews were the problem and should be sent to concentration camps. 
Now I get it. Our speaker just said I should be removed from my home because my parents are Christians, 
and three of my teachers applauded with the rest of the crowd. 
Now I understand that when a powerful speaker, like Hitler, presents a bad idea, good people applaud."

The seventh grader got it. His teachers did not.

And so it goes today, when a Left Wing Hate group vilifies the Christian community, the invisible wires of the Christians mental concentration camp grow higher, while the good Christians say nothing and do nothing. 
When movies, TV or the news media present Christians in a bad light, the crowd cheers and the good Christians watch and say nothing. 
When Congress passes laws that could chill the Christian Pastors ability to present his Bible based message, the good Christians watch and do nothing.

Today Liberal Left Wing groups control the content of movies, TV programs and the liberal news media. Congress looks at the so called Hush Rush bill, or Fairness Doctrine, which could shut down AM radio talk shows and Christian radio stations.

And perhaps one day, when the Liberal Left Wing groups have completed their efforts to gain control of Government and the News Media, Christian Pastors may be told that certain passages in the Bible offend them and they must no longer use those passages or suffer the consequences.

Perhaps you believe that couldn't happen in this country. 
Read your history, America. Read your history.
What happened to those Christian Pastors in Germany who spoke out against Hitler and his Nazi party. 
Did they disappear, never to be seen again? 
What will happen to Christian Preachers in America who refuse to obey a Hate Crimes law which could possibly bar them from reading those passages in the Bible which some groups might find offensive.

Will those invisible concentration camp wires,  become real wires for them? 
Could these Christian Pastors become the new detainees at Gitmo?

The listener asked, do we have freedom of religion in America today?
The answer is yes we do.
The question is, will it always be so?
